In the Etruscan Necropolis of Pratino in Tuscania (VT), a tragic mask in terracotta was recently discovered
Tuscania (VT), Macchia della Riserva, Etruscan Necropolis of Pratino.
A few days from the closing of the 2017 excavation Campaign, a small, ceramic mask emerged from one of the tombs of the Etruscan necropolis in Tuscania belonging to the Hellenistic period. It is still too early to draw conclusions but surely the object is to be linked to the theater world and in particular to Greek tragedy.
