Martina Zinni
Field Director TAP (Tuscania Archaeological Project) - Etruscologist


Martina Zinni is currently a research fellow at the University of Naples “Federico II” (Department of Humanities) where she conducts a research entitled: “Death and burial in pre-Roman Italy: the necropolis of Sasso Pizzuto in Tuscania (VT )”. During the Academic year 2020-2021 she was a research fellow at the University of Campania “L. Vanvitelli” where she carried out a study entitled “Research on the necropolis of Monte Abatone (Cerveteri)”.
Since 2021 she is Subject Expert at the chair of Etruscology and Italic Antiquities (Sapienza University of Rome). In the same teaching she participates as Area Supervisor at the archaeological excavation at Pyrgi. She is also an external collaborator of the ISPC (Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences-CNR) with projects in Sardinia and Tunisia.
In 2019 she held a PhD in Etruscology at the “Sapienza” University of Rome with a research on bronze vessels from the Ager Faliscus (V-III century BC).
She also conducted a lot of activities for the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities - Polo Museale del Lazio and for the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut in Rome.
Her main scientific interests are the Etruscan and Italic culture, in particular for the Archaic and Hellenistic periods.
