Conservator

Born in 1986 in the province of Bari (southern Italy), where he graduated from the Scientific High School and then began university studies in the scientific field. In 2010, he moved to Florence to pursue the study of Restoration, initially training at the Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro “Palazzo Spinelli” and obtaining the qualifications of "Qualified Technician in Restoration of Ceramics and Stone Material" (2012) and "Technical Expert in Restoration of Ceramics and Stone Material" (2014).
After some work experience in the field, he succeeded in the selection to enter the Percorso Formativo Professionalizzante 4 (Conservation and Restoration of Ceramic and Vitreous Materials and Artifacts and Metal Materials and Artifacts) at the Scuola di Alta Formazione e di Studio at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, where he graduated from the "bronzes and ancient weapons" department with a thesis on the restoration of a group of bronze statuary fragments from the Roman period. Over the years he had the opportunity to work on numerous artworks and artifacts of various typology, both in Italy and abroad (Denmark, Sweden, India). In addition to his interest in restoration, he loves to travel and visit museums. For years he has cultivated a passion for History and material culture of the past (particularly of the medieval period), carrying out historical reenactment activities and the study of ancient working techniques.
