Semitista, filologo
Massimiliano Marrazza is a scholar of Ancient Hebrew and Semitic linguistics, with a particular focus on lexical semantics and componential analysis in Biblical Hebrew. He holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Florence and a PhD in Jewish Studies from the University of Bologna, completed in joint supervision with the École Pratique des Hautes Études (Paris). His research centers on the lexical fields of health, illness, and the human body in Ancient Hebrew, with comparative perspectives within Afro-Asiatic linguistics. He has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes and has participated as a speaker in major international conferences on Semitic and Afro-Asiatic linguistics. He was a research collaborator in the international SAHD (Semantics of Ancient Hebrew Database) project and he is a member of the European Association for Jewish Studies.
