Margaret Ramos
Conservator

Margaret Ramos is an objects conservator with a specialization in archaeological material. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, she now resides in Florence, Italy. She graduated from Durham University (UK) with a Masters degree in the Conservation of Archaeological and Museum Objects. While studying for her Masters degree she trained within the Durham University Archaeology Lab, as well as the Victoria & Albert Museum Sculptures and Metals Conservation Studios. Prior to, she received a BA in Classics, and a BA in Art History from CUNY-Brooklyn College. Margaret has been an archaeological conservator with the Poggio Civitate Etruscan Excavations in Murlo, Italy. She has also worked for the Smithsonian Institution Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum in New York City. She is a member of ICOM-Italia and ICOM-CC.
